A poem
by Connie Robillard
What did you learn in school today
Come sit with me my child.
Did you learn that you are precious?
That your thoughts are all worthwhile
Did you learn to respect others
To give kindness as a gift
Your goals are bright as shining light
Your dreams are limitless
Creativity like the stars is given
to you free
Choices are the magic wands
that allow your soul to breathe
When you lie your head down
are you at peace my child?
Did your mind survive the world today?
Let me listen for awhile....
Poem by Connie Robillard, extract from the book: Common Threads, by Connie Robillard, MA and Marcel A. Duclos M.Th, M.Ed.
